About

Tom, a student at a prestigious music school, has long struggled with stage fright. His crippling inability to perform in front of an audience reaches a climax when he is humiliated in front of his idol, visiting legendary classical pianist Gerard Cornwall. But when Gerard mysteriously chooses Tom to be his page turner for a prestigious concert the next night, Tom is forced to confront the very thing that has been holding him back. If he makes one mistake during the concert, his worst nightmares will be realized.

A story of the highs and lows of artistic life and the relationship between mentor and mentee, Duet explores a world rarely portrayed on film. Starring Gemini Award-winner Hugh Thompson and ACTRA nominee Josh Cruddas, and written and directed by an actual classical pianist, it gives a new appreciation for the work and sacrifice that goes into the pursuit of excellence in classical music, from the perspective of someone who has experienced it first-hand.
